Join us for an engaging CLE with Sarah Crawford and Madeleine Weisz as they dive into the dynamic intersection of federal Indian law and state water law.

This program will cover:

  • Indian Law 101 – sovereignty, trust responsibility, jurisdiction, and treaty rights

  • Tribal water rights within the framework of federal reserved water rights

  • Landmark cases shaping the Reserved Water Rights Doctrine

  • The history and role of the Montana Reserved Water Rights Compact Commission

  • Updates on the CSKT-United States-Montana Compact pending before the Water Court
